Hello, I own two RAM kits: 1. Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) and 2. Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16GB (2x8GB). I'm curious if it's safe to use both together, considering their lifespan and performance. I've looked at a few videos and articles but haven't found clear guidance. Thanks!

Yeah, it's secure though since compatibility can vary based on the contents inside the kits. On both kits you'll find a version number indicating the memory IC they use. If they match, they should function well together—except for ver. 4.32 where self-conflicts might occur. If versions differ, I'd perform a memory stability check using tools like Memtest86 to confirm reliability. Long-term performance is good, and in some cases dual-rank operation can even boost speed slightly. Failing tests or boot issues don't necessarily damage them; it just suggests they weren't meant to run together.

So 4.31 is an unusual version number since many kits labeled as v4.31 are actually mislabeled as v4.32. You should still run a stability test because v4.32 can sometimes cause compatibility problems with itself, and you might have received v4.31 which doesn't always work well with v4.32. Although v4.31-based kits are generally Samsung B dies—clearly inconsistent—and even then it doesn’t guarantee all v4.31 kits won’t function with v4.32, the odds of issues are low if you're running at lower speeds (under 3200MT/s). It’s not as straightforward as the video suggested, and I do have some concerns about mixing RAM. The creator only tested a few units side by side and downplayed the risk, but I know it doesn’t always hold true.
