Two damaged pins on a Ryzen 7 2700 processor, not bent.
I have a Ryzen without the two pins a friend lent me. When I tried to post, it failed due to a CPU error. I have spare pins from an older AMD CPU. I’m considering buying a cheap secondhand motherboard (Gigabyte GA-A320M S2H V2) for 30€ and testing it by inserting two pins to see if they connect properly. Could there be a risk of damaging components during this process? Is there a better method than using copper or welding the pins? Should I try soldering the pins from the older CPU, or is that motherboard suitable for this chip? I might need to overclock it slightly. Thanks. PSU: TX750M
