Using 2*8GB and 2*16GB in dual channel, if cas/speed aren't aligned it should operate at the lowest speed. More mismatches increase the chance of higher problems.

the 8gb drive has a capacity of 8gb and offers dual channel performance, while the remaining 8gb operates in single channel on the other 16gb drive
