Hi Guys, Im planning to build new system with 32gb worth of RAM. Im going for ATX type so what do you think is the best 8x4 or 16x2 ram slots. Also, for 8x4, I think our region doesn't seem to have huge stock for 8x4 ram kit so is it okay to buy TWO 8x2 ram kit of course like same brand, frequency and stuff lets say to achieve identical sticks. Thanks in advance.

Considering identical specifications, this setup will match consumer chips like LGA1151-1200 AM4. It offers comparable bandwidth thanks to only two memory channels. You’ll also have flexibility for future upgrades. For performance, options like a 3200 CL16/14 or a 3600 CL16 kit would work well.

16x2 offers a smoother experience on the IMC, providing better stability and overclocking potential. At identical speeds and settings, 4x8 may show slight improvements due to interleaving, though this difference is minor. Yes, it generally functions well, but occasional issues can occur. Some 8x4 builds might use different timing than 8x2, requiring some adjustments, though I've always found it reliable. I recommend choosing 16x2.

You're considering the R7 3700X and looking at the Asus ROG Strix X570 E or X572 Aorus Ultra as alternatives.

Do you have these boards ready? If not, what about a budget? As I mentioned, yes—two 2x16 units (if they match in specs) will work similarly and give you upgrade options.

Looking for more options within a budget of around 280-300 USD. What I noticed online often features x570 Auros Ultra or the Strix X570 E Gaming.

I'll use it mostly for solid high FPS AAA games. Also thinking about upgrading to 3070 or better once the GPU options arrive.
