Thank you for your message. I managed to reset the CMOS by connecting the CLRTC pins, but I can't reinsert the GPU since this board only has one PCIe lane available. I also don’t have another system to test it on. Sorry for the inconvenience; that motherboard did bend slightly during installation. I’ll take a photo after removing it from the case tomorrow (it’s almost midnight here). From what I found online, the orange light you mentioned might indicate an issue. I’m not sure yet because nothing came up when I searched “ASUS prime B350m-a orange light.” I don’t have another power supply unit either, as it’s my first system, but I’m open to buying a new one to test. I might also consider purchasing a cheap GPU just to try it out. Apologies for the unclear English; it’s not my first language. I’d like to confirm whether the PSU or fan might be the problem as well, especially since everything spun when I powered it up (CPU, cooler, RAM, SSD, no GPU). Thanks again for your help!

I simply mean taking it out of the slot and putting it back in the same place. I believe it’s a good idea to check if the GPU and PSU are compatible. I’ll take a look at the "ASUS prime B350m-a orange light." Regarding the orange light, am I interpreting those markings on the motherboard near the back of the PCI-E slot and the bottom of the IO area correctly? Don’t worry about the disconnected SSD; even without storage, the system should still power on and display the motherboard logo or splash screen. The only issue is it won’t enter Windows, which isn’t important right now because we can’t see the POST.

You made a mistake by buying a low-quality power supply that probably won’t deliver the power it claims. Get a reliable PSU from a trusted manufacturer instead of the cheapest option.

It seems you're dealing with a tricky situation. Without additional components to help identify the problem, it might be hard to get this machine running properly. Based on the feedback I've seen, I recommend purchasing a new power supply unit from a trusted brand. Something reliable is crucial since it's the foundation of your setup. A faulty PSU can cause all systems to fail, so addressing it first makes sense. Options like Thermaltake or Coolermaster are good choices—they're decent and worth the investment. Good luck!

Hi, thanks for your feedback. It was actually sold in a set with the motherboard and case, so I had no other option. I’m ready to upgrade to a better PSU after following all the steps from JenjerBread. Appreciate your input!

You've successfully identified the issue—it was the faulty power cable. I replaced it with a new one and the system started working! Thanks for your help! Smile Your politeness and professionalism were appreciated too; rebuilding the computer outside the case is a great idea.
