I updated Windows but encountered issues while watching a downloaded video, which prompted permission requests for TV and Movies. Feeling frustrated with the current setup, I decided to disable unnecessary features to improve performance and restore a smoother experience. I had to log in using my dad’s account since his email is no longer associated, and now I’m aiming for a more stable Windows 7 environment.

My system refreshes updates continuously and has never complained about access rights while watching a video.

due to a specific setup in my Microsoft family group, I was mistakenly labeled as a child, which forced me to handle that issue. I’m moving past Windows 10 completely now.

Windows 7 is free from those problems and offers better security and reliability compared to Windows 10.

Doesn't require VLC? Windows actually has a built-in media player for TV and movies. I haven't used any other apps beyond the photo viewer, but switching default app settings for file types is straightforward.
