Hey there, I have a MacBook Air from around 2017. The problem is that when it charges, everything works normally, but the LED turns green and then the laptop shuts off. I can restart it, but it still powers down after that. I’m not sure if anyone has the right expertise to assist. If you feel comfortable, you can share the motherboard schematic I found online. I’m hoping someone can help me out.

I took out the battery and the issue persisted.

It might also point to other issues, such as the MagSafe port on your device or the MagSafe charger itself. Consider performing an SMC reset. Power off the computer while connected to the MagSafe charger, then press and hold Shift, Control, and Option keys on your keyboard. For more details, you can search for the SMC on Google.
