Hello, I noticed my CPU is limiting performance lately (Ryzen 7 1700). It’s stuck at 3.2 GHz even with all-core boost enabled. My question: can changing SMT improve overall core speed? I don’t really need 16 threads—most games only use about 8 cores at a time. Do you have any experience with this kind of issue? Thanks! (Sorry for the unclear English)

3.2 seems modest. Is this a manual overclock? You could keep it at stock or PBO and it would increase one or two cores, depending on your needs, resulting in improved gaming performance.

I believe the Ryzen OC isn't a good value and usually underperforms compared to the PBO, definitely not worth it with Zen 2.
