Turn off login for Windows 10 by adjusting settings or using built-in tools.
I set up Windows 10 today and need to remove the password so it won’t be required each time I log in. The instructions I saw online seem confusing—they suggest checking a box when opening netplwiz, but that doesn’t appear to work on my machine. Has the process changed or do I need to adjust something else? Please let me know.
I've already attempted it, but the checkbox isn't visible on my PC.
Deleting your login password exposes your computer's security. You can undo it by following these easy steps: Open the Start menu and type "netplwiz." The first result should be a program with the same name—click it to view. ... In the User Accounts window, uncheck the box that says "Users must enter a name and password to use this computer." ... Press "Apply." When asked, re-enter your password to verify the update. For further details, see the guide on removing passwords in Windows 10.
