As requested, I'm turning off the automatic update feature. I understand I still want updates, but if my PC stays on and I go to sleep, it often restarts unexpectedly. This causes frustration because I leave my software open and miss important changes that happen between leaving and waking up.

You can access Group Policies and adjust settings via Administrative Templates. Keep in mind you might easily turn off or delay updates, missing them unless you actively search for them. EDIT: This applies to a laptop—don’t be careless. Save your work and shut down the system properly. Only this reduces its lifespan, and power usage costs money.

I don’t rely on Windows 11, though Windows 10 offered a choice to change your connection to a limited one, which stopped automatic updates from downloading or installing. You still receive alerts, but you must download and set them yourself. I’d like to know if this capability exists in Windows 11.
