Hey there, you're facing a common concern when setting up new components. The ASUS TUF GAMING B760-PLUS looks compatible with your i7 13700k and the Corsair Vengeance RAM, but PCPartPicker might not have it listed for that specific motherboard. It's worth checking the official ASUS documentation or contacting their support to confirm. As for the price difference, it's usually safe to go with the listed options unless you're certain about compatibility. Since this is your first build, trusting PCPartPicker is a good start, but double-checking can save headaches later.

The motherboard QVL often seems excessive. It mainly serves marketing goals rather than practical needs, meaning it includes top CPUs but excludes many capable kits. Updates are infrequent after launch, leaving gaps in compatibility. Some items like Corsair’s list miss certain models due to lack of testing. The XMP support for 6400 CL32 should work on newer SKUs, but I wouldn’t suggest buying these parts. A better alternative is the MSI Z790 Gaming Plus, which offers similar features at a lower cost, or the TeamGroup T-Create Expert 6400 CL32 kit for a more affordable option.
