Hi everyone, I wanted to give you a brief update on my situation. I bricked the ASUS ROG Strix B450-I and attempted a BIOS update, reached out to ASUS support, and followed all the necessary steps. Unfortunately, I’m unable to recover it. I’m not in an RMA window, so returns aren’t an option.
In a final effort, I tried using the CH341a BIOS chip to write the BIOS directly onto the chip with a SOIC clip. However, I couldn’t find the correct BIOS chip to connect the clip. I found a WINBOND W25X05CLNIG chip on the board, but it looks too small for the BIOS. A picture from a TweakTown article seems to show the chip, which matches what’s listed in a board comparison sheet.
The problem is that the matching chip on my board is labeled 25LB128CSIG, which I’ve identified as a Grayhill chip. Despite being able to read data from the Winbond chip I mentioned earlier, I’m having trouble locating the right BIOS chip. This suggests the chip I’m seeing might not be the correct one.
Anyone have any guidance or resources that could clarify which BIOS chip is installed on my board? I’d appreciate suggestions from others who have worked with ASUS boards before. Also, just a note—my ASUS CrashFree BIOS update didn’t work. Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Just had a breakthrough—seems the chip might be a Gigadevice chip instead of a Grayhill chip as I thought.
