Hey! I tried installing Ubuntu Server 16.04.1 LTS and after rebooting without using the boot disk, it ended up in Grub Rescue. I checked online for a fix and found a post on Stack Exchange that might help. When I tried to enter GRUB rescue and selected "insmod normal," it said there was no such partition. I’m stuck—can’t get any boot option working.

The simplest action at the moment is to recover your backups.

It boots into the installer because the system is configured to launch the setup tool automatically. Full specifications detail the hardware, software requirements, and installation process.

Occasionally users misconfigure the EFI or legacy boot setting in BIOS. Sometimes they place the EFI or boot partition on the incorrect drive. Identifying the issue can be challenging.

Sure. It's hard to figure out what you're referring to. You might want to jot it down or snap some pictures for clarity.

If the installation or demo menu keeps appearing, adjust your boot configuration. Follow these steps: Disconnect the device and reconnect it, then power it on using Power Button + Esc (or your system's BIOS key). Locate the Boot Menu option and switch it from USB to Ubuntu.
