Trying to overclock a b30 motherboard resulted in unexpected issues.
Pc specs:
Msi b350 Tomahawk motherboard
Ryzen 5 1400
Gtx 1050 ti ssc
I experimented with overclocking the bios, increasing the cpu frequency beyond safe limits. I attempted to reset but it didn't resolve the issue. The system powered off and then came back on, though the monitor remained inactive. I tried removing the cmos battery and attempting a CMOS jump, but nothing resolved the problem. How can I fix this situation?
did you take out the cmos battery and cut off the power? then keep pressing the power button for 10 seconds to confirm it's fully drained.
Did you remove the CMOS battery and power off, then wait 10 seconds to ensure the system is fully drained? No, I learned that resetting the CMOS on that board won't work just by removing the battery. I'm unsure if jumping it after draining will help. Also, I can't try this until later tonight.
