There are way too many problems that happened after I moved or drove around across the country with my stuff. Everything was okay yesterday here is what happens: I turn on my computer and I get a message saying "preparing automatic repair"... but nothing comes out. It goes into a loop where it keeps restarting. All my hardware shows up correctly as if everything is detected properly. I took out all my RAM sticks and swapped them around. Nothing helped. I took out all my M.2 drives (even the one with Windows on it). Nothing changed. I re-created my Windows 11 installation bootable USB drive, but it doesn't load and then goes into a loop again. I tried using CMD commands like bcdedit and sfc /scannow. All of those things did nothing either. Anyone have any ideas what to do? At this point I just want a working computer and to reinstall Windows fresh... but I can't even do that.

Specs: MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK Ryzen 7800X3D 64GB Corsair RAM (3 sticks) M.2 SSDs with Windows on a Samsung 980 pro card RTX 3090 card Edit: I have UEFI enabled in my BIOS. I tried turning secure boot on and off. The USB installation just freezes and doesn't do anything at all. Edit #2: the BOOT EZ DEBUG LED light is glowing on my motherboard. I took out the M.2 that has Windows on it but I can still not access the Windows installation. Edit #3: after trying everything I tried doing a secure erase+ on the M.2 card with Windows on it again, the USB install just boots into a purple screen and that's all there is to it

Welcome! Please tell us what kind of power supply you use. Tell us how old it is if you've been using it for a long time. How did you figure out where your computer gets its files? Can you actually get into and stay in BIOS forever without stopping? What version are you using on the motherboard? How are you keeping the processor cool right now? Have you loosened up the pressure on the cooler's stand to see if that helps, then tried again after running the setup steps? For your board, did you try clearing it before you start putting everything together? Edit 3: I've already tried wiping my m.2 drive with Windows on it. The USB still just shows a purple screen and nothing happens. You might want to be patient and let this finish. You could also set the computer to use that USB as the main boot option, and make sure there is only one hard drive left on the board so you don't have any other mess going on with it.

Hey! Thanks for the warm welcome. Sorry about that little hiccup. I got a Seasonic Focus GX-850 power supply back in less than 1.5 years ago, and it's so old I can boot into BIOS forever and change every setting I want. When it came to my USB situation, I first tried putting W11 on an old USB using RUFUS. Nothing worked there. Then I reformatted the drive and tried again with Mac (using homebrew and wimlib, followed a YouTube tutorial), but that also didn't work. Finally, I grabbed a new 3.1 USB and did exactly the same thing. All three tries were successful for me in that regard. Cooling comes from an EVGA AIO unit. There are no cooling issues; when I turned it off to check the CPU, it stayed around 38 degrees. When the computer was running, I just totally removed the AIO, took out the CPU to see if there were any bent pins or burn marks, and found nothing wrong. I reseated the CPU and the computer is acting exactly the same way: it boots into USB but shows a purple screen of nothing, sometimes it loops, sometimes it doesn't at all. I have tried clearing my CMOS before all of this as well.

Hey everyone, here is the update: I set up Windows on my Mac using a virtual machine and then installed via Rufus. But still no luck. It boots to a USB drive with a purple screen and nothing else shows up. I'm 99.9% sure it's not about my computer hardware... but I just don't know what could be going wrong.

I unplugged all my SATA cables from the computer. One was for the hard drive, two were for the SSDs. After unplugging them, it started up and ran Windows installation easily. Then I just put the cables back in one by one. It still works perfectly! So I don't know why that happened at first. It is a pain because I accidentally wiped my SSD and lost some important stuff.
