Trying to assemble a Ryzen 3 5950X with an MSI x570 Godlike setup, but facing issues getting it to install.
You recently received the Ryzen 5950x CPU and assembled everything, but it’s not connecting. Your parts list includes a motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, power supply, case, and storage. After updating the BIOS to version 7C34v1C1 (beta), the issue persists. The code now shows 00 and an error message appears. You’ve checked wiring, removed the GPU, reduced RAM to one stick without fixing it, tried heating the room, and are now considering a BIOS flash to 7C34v1B. Any suggestions or experiences from others would be greatly appreciated.
Also when you encounter an error code, you'll understand it indicates a failure.
The issue was traced to a flash drive with BIOS, not the computer itself. Explanation: I needed an 8GB or smaller USB 2.0 flash drive to install the latest stable BIOS, and everything worked afterward. Larger drives caused bios update failures, preventing the CPU from starting.
I've checked the same problems, everything is functioning properly. Are you encountering a VGA error when powering on the PC? I do experience that each time, yet it loads Windows and everything runs smoothly as if nothing happened. I made sure the GPU was properly connected and tried using different PCIe ports, but the issue persists.
