I maintain my NVIDIA drivers regularly to improve game performance, yet I still experience around 20-30 FPS in Battlefield 1942 from 2002, which drops significantly compared to newer titles. In Battlefield 4, I achieve about 40 FPS on average. It seems unusual that my FPS remains low despite using the latest drivers. How can I boost older games’ performance while keeping up with current drivers?

bf1942 works on all systems. My setup includes an Intel core i7 4702MQ with boost up to 3.2GHz, 16GB DDR3 at 800MHz, a 2xSamsung 840 EVO 250 SSD, and a 1TB 5400RPM NVMe drive. I'm using a GeForce GT 750M.

It doesn't matter; understanding the precise specifications remains crucial. Have you restarted after updating the driver? Have you attempted to reinstall it? Which operating system are you using?

Lol, I changed them about a week back and reinstalling didn’t work. It also worked with older drivers. I’m using Windows 8.0.

In 1942 there were no active operations involving the old rivers. Adjusting to previous records. Vsync remains disabled.

Can't enjoy playing games like BF4 with that outdated version... Nvidia be damned!
