It isn't necessary for it to be from 2013/14. Mirror's Edge is great if you manage to find it at a lower price. I favor Sonic Generations, though it doesn't fit the usual tastes.
Transistor stands out as one of the top picks in 2014. Offers engaging and varied gameplay, an impressive soundtrack, and stunning visuals. It's not a port.
