Hello everyone, here are the system details: Windows 10 64Bit, AsRock Z790 PG Lightning i7 14700K, RTX 3090 Alphacool Eiswolf 2 AIO. I recently bought an Alphacool Eiswolf 2 GPU AIO, mixing some used and new parts. My main problem is the fans not tuning correctly on the radiator. I set fan curves in Phantom Gaming Tuning, but they keep breaking all the time. I tried adjusting them directly in BIOS, but can’t pick the GPU as the temperature input, which is really frustrating. I’m looking for a stable fan-tuning tool that saves settings and doesn’t crash. There’s a newer BIOS version for the board, but I updated it a few months ago and want to check other options before doing more updates. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead!
Visited already (set up an Eiswolf2 on a 3080). Tried using FanControl—it lets you manage GPU temperature (or mix different settings) to control fan speeds. Also, the Eiswolf2 fans tend to be loud or noisy, so think about swapping them for quieter options if needed.
If the motherboard fails to retrieve GPU temperature data, you won't be able to adjust the GPU AIO fans using that method. Some boards support temperature monitoring and fan control through Windows or the operating system instead of the BIOS firmware. Typically, the GPU sends temperature readings via its drivers or tools like MSi Afterburner, which then manage the fan headers. In your situation, the GPU fan header isn't functioning properly. As noted, you might want to try FanControl or Argus Monitor for alternative solutions.
