First, I’m excluding RTS titles, battle royale games, and anime. Please review this selection before deciding to purchase anything. My collection includes: Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Arma 2, Arrowhead, Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood, Revelations, 3, 4, Syndicate, Unity Battlefield BC2, Fallout 3 & 4, Dishonored, Dota 2, Riptide, Dead Pixels Dirt 3, Skyrim, ETS2, and Fallout 4. I also own: Betrayal at House on the Hill, No More Room in Hell, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Left 4 Dead 2, and several other titles.
The game "Life is Strange" offers a story-driven experience set in the woods. Before diving in, keep in mind the typical playtime is around seven hours, but it's all about the narrative. As for the price of "Half-Life 3," it was released for $60 on Steam.
Check out the trailers on Steam if you’re unsure about the game’s theme (they’re classic titles, you might already remember them). Ori and the Blind Forest (around 20 euros, worth it if you manage to get it for 15, with a great soundtrack). Transistor (19 euros but worth it if you find it for 15 and enjoy the awesome music). Bastion Braid Cave Story+ Trine (13 euros for one copy, 17 for the second). Super Meat Boy, Hotline Miami, Dead Space (10 euros). Penumbra Black Plague – a bit intense but solid, about 9 euros each. Penumbra Overture 8bitboy (mario-style), 4 euros. Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl (stunning with the stalker mod), roughly 16 euros now on Steam. Torchlight (mouse button killer, RPG style with lots of clicks). The vanishing of Ethan Carter – short but impressive graphics. Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition (free DRM-free on GOG) – solid RPG with D&D rules. Bioshock (Bioshock Remastered costs 20 euros on Steam, the non-master version cheaper). FPS Dungeon Siege 1 & 2, RPG – a bit less engaging than Neverwinter but still fun for 7 euros each. Stalker: Chernobyl (stunning with the complete mod).
