Troubleshooting Raid 5 setup for your first attempt
This feature applies only to Mobo hardware RAID setups. For Windows software RAID, it’s typically unnecessary. Usually, it affects the whole controller rather than just one device. On a single controller Mobo setup, all SATA ports would follow the configuration you applied. This is how it functioned back when I used hardware RAID 0 for my fast 10k rpm Velociraptors in RAID 0... hehe. It’s been a while now.
You should consider switching from AHCI to RAID if needed. https://blog.workinghardinit.work/2018/1...i-to-raid/ This change applies mainly when you're using your motherboard's hardware RAID setup. Keep in mind, if you replace a motherboard with a different model, the RAID controller will differ, which could prevent access to the drives. That’s something to think about. I’d love to assist more with Windows RAID settings, but I don’t have much hands-on experience.
Thank you for your support with LIGISTX. I'll review this matter carefully. Take care this evening.
