I’m not a professional service guy, but perhaps there are better ways to clean boards instead of submerging them in water. Still, it seems to work or at least keeps the board intact when done properly (CMOS reset followed by pressing the power button for two minutes each).

You'd need to test it across various resolutions to see if performance drops consistently. Frequencies might behave unpredictably when switching between them.
