I have a GTX 1080 Ti with a decent PC setup and have been playing at 4K for years. Recently, my PC has started to freeze and flicker with occasional, brief color distortions. I can play for hours without resetting it. Yesterday, the screen froze while gaming, turning black with a red arrow-shaped marker. After powering off the PC, only a black screen appeared without a mouse cursor. I disconnected all wires and restarted, but nothing improved. Please advise if my PC is failing.

If your PC has onboard iGPU, and you remove the 1080ti. Also, if you have other mice, try them. And I presume the new mouse should be the gaming mouse, correct? If so, it may require a new driver due to potential compatibility issues.

The PSU is a Seasonic 850W purchased in 2014, with only the GPU replaced since February 2018. The only new component is the mouse, which I doubt caused the issue. Approximately one to two years ago, I noticed my clock frequency fluctuating and disregarded replacing the motherboard battery. Could this be related to the PC going black completely? I cannot access the BIOS; it’s a complete blackout.
