You're having trouble with the W7 install disk. The language selection screen isn't responding, the mouse cursor is missing, and your keyboard feels sluggish.

Verify your BIOS settings. Might there be a problem with your external devices connected to the system?

I might have resolved the issue. The back USB ports didn't function during the ISO process. The front ports are working properly.

Check your back port connections and ensure they're secure. Try a different USB port or cable to rule out hardware issues. If the problem persists, consult the device's manual for troubleshooting steps.

The USB back ports might not function until the appropriate drivers are set up. I've repaired a few systems using ASUS mobos, and only a couple of ports showed up in BIOS but worked smoothly in the operating system once the right drivers were installed. Don't worry yet.

It seems the rear USB ports are likely USB 3.0. Windows 7 doesn’t support USB 3.0 by default. You’ll need to install drivers. Visit the ASUS website for the appropriate USB and motherboard chipset drivers.

Everything is now working perfectly. I just installed the new components and left the room. I accidentally damaged two of the three backups, which is a mistake but lucky I had made three copies. Eventually, it became clear that the USB 3.0 ports only functioned with UEFI and not with any operating system or bootable disc, so I had to rely on the front USB 3.0. After installing all the new drivers, everything resolved.
