I really dislike missing postcodes on certain boards lacking PCIe support. This device appears to be the most affordable LPC debug card available. The mini PCIe seems ineffective when viewed in some tutorials, leaving me with the LPC interface pinout from its manual. Here’s a quick breakdown: PIN1-LFRAME#, PIN2-LAD3, PIN3-LAD2, PIN4-LAD1, PIN5-LAD0, PIN6-GND, PIN7-LRESET#, PIN8-LCLK, PIN9-3.3V. It seems it functions well with any TPM or LPC debug headers, covering most options. However, I’ve noticed demos using TL460, TL611, TL631, etc., which rely on the COM_DEBUG port. I can’t locate a pinout for them since searches only yield unrelated info. This is the only way to extract a postcode from an ASUS H81 (the 5-pin header missing a pin in the middle marked COM_DEBUG below the PCIe X16 slot) except for PCIe itself, which is frustrating. Also, on these debug cards, LPC1 and LPC2 differ in size—LPC1 has larger pins than LPC2. Regarding questions about adapting Dupont female-female jumper wires to fit smaller headers, that might be necessary if you need to modify the connectors. As for the COM_DEBUG pinout, it’s listed on the manual’s top three rows plus the Pegatron diagram; I assume this card will work as long as you have the correct layout. For practical setup, just mount it on a case and consider painting it black—yellow looks really bad.
