Checking if a driver update is feasible in Linux Mint. Resolution remains at 1024x768 even without NVIDIA drivers. System version is 22.2 with an RTX 50 Series GPU.

Instead of relying solely on the Mint drivers, you can install the official Nvidia versions if needed. Previously, synaptic offered updated drivers, but terminal access and apt tools let you upgrade beyond the driver manager. This was useful for older models like the 4090.

The NVIDIA site suggests using the drivers from the newest kernel, version 6.17.1.
