I updated my GPU to a newer model and immediately faced booting issues. I initially believed it was due to the MOBO 24pin power cable, but now suspect something else is at play. My MOBO’s backplate seems to be drawing power when pressed against the motherboard. Additionally, I’ve been encountering overcurrent errors frequently. I’m running out of ideas and would really appreciate any advice from someone more experienced. Thank you in advance!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
psu seasonic 750 or 850w
The brand is Seasonic, so please mention the exact model and wattage. How old is your PSU?
I’ve switched my GPU to a newer one.
What GPU did you have before, and which one are you using now?
My MOBO’s backplate is causing power issues when pressed against the motherboard. I’ve also been experiencing overcurrent errors for a while.
It might be that your system is getting shorted—try breadboarding the setup to check if the problem continues.
