I've been struggling with this problem for most of the past 16 hours whenever I install a graphics driver. A black screen appears that persists until I perform a hard reboot. Then I need to boot into safe mode and use DDU to remove the driver, or Windows won't start at all. I've tried every version of Nvidia's drivers since June without any improvement.

My system specs are currently unclear, but I'm unsure what might be causing this issue. I was hoping it could be as simple as needing a specific driver version, and any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 Pro after my motherboard failed, so I thought upgrading would help with more NVMe storage.

It could be the release of the 7000 Ryzen models hasn't fully resolved all issues. Or perhaps the problem lies with your storage.

Are there any missing drivers or updates? AMD & Intel - Windows 10: Realtek high definition audio driver, Intel Driver & Support Assistant, AMD chipset driver, Thunderbolt Controller software, AMD graphics driver (issues from different makers), Killer WLAN and LAN driver (may slow connection), BIOS update (handle carefully!), GPU drivers for Windows 10, Nvidia - Explicit Multi-GPU with DirectX 12. Additional resources: Anandtech.com, GeForce + Radeon Preview, Asus website, LucidLogix, AMD Software updates. That’s all I found right now. Hope it helps.

After more than thirty hours of discomfort, I’m confident I identified the problem. For anyone curious, I stumbled upon one of the exposed pins on my thermal take PCIE riser cable. Once I eliminated every potential software glitch I could imagine, I began inspecting each component for visible damage. Replacing it all and watching the results was a real turning point. @Alex B. appreciated the driver shortcuts—having them in quick access made re-downloading them much easier after multiple OS wipe attempts.
