Trouble installing Windows 11 on TPM?
Hi all
I'm trying to upgrade my wife's computer from Windows 10 to Windows 11 but running into a problem. I've checked the necessary requirements and everything seems fine, though the Windows 11 install assistant is refusing to proceed, stating TPM 2.0 isn't enabled. After enabling TPM in the BIOS security settings, I opened tpm.msc and it says TPM cannot be found. I've confirmed the BIOS is set to UEFI and Secure Boot is active, and the SSD is properly partitioned in GPT. The Windows 11 assistant still insists the only issue is TPM, but I've made sure it's correctly configured. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Intel I7-9700k processor, nVidia GeForce 1080TI graphics card, 32GB of memory, and a 1TB solid-state drive.
Is there a TPM present in the Device Manager? The latest chipset drivers are installed.
Not exactly what I noticed. I think you're referring to Intel Chipset drivers? It seems they haven't been updated recently, so maybe you could consider updating them?
Intel chipset drivers form a collection that includes more than just chipset-related components.
It's missing, there isn't even a section for Security Devices.
Kindly list your motherboard please Thanks. Did you update the BIOS before attempting to install Windows 11?
Display a screenshot of the BIOS settings showing TPM enabled. Likely overlooked a crucial configuration. (Upload to imgur.com and share the link)
