Hey everyone, I just purchased a Ryzen 7 3700X to upgrade from my previous 2700. It was a solid choice and since it's only one generation away, I thought issues or bottlenecks wouldn't be too big. My old setup looked like this: CPU - Ryzen 7 2700, GPU - GTX 1070 Ti, RAM - two Kingston Fury DDR4 sticks at 16GB, Motherboard - AsRock B450 Pro, BIOS version 1.4, storage - one 512GB M.2 drive and a 3TB HDD.
When I first installed the new CPU, my PC just kept looping without showing any output. After some research, I realized I had the wrong BIOS version. I reinstalled the older BIOS (versions 1.8 and 3.2) on a USB stick and rebooted. The Windows 10 booted normally after flashing the 1.8 BIOS. Then I switched to version 3.2, but it got stuck at the AsRock logo screen. Pressing delete made it beep but didn't boot into BIOS.
I rebooted again, tried installing the new BIOS v3.2, but it still wouldn't boot. Removing all drives except the boot drive or taking out one RAM stick didn't help. The only change was removing the boot drive, which forced a BIOS boot. Resetting the BIOS to defaults didn't work either—even after installing the boot drive and replacing the CMOS battery, nothing changed. I attempted to upgrade to version 3.4, but it still stuck at the AsRock screen as long as the boot drive was present.

Ensured compatibility with AMD next-gen Ryzen processors.
Applied AMD AGESA Combo-AM4 1.0.0.1 * Install the latest VGA driver version 18.50.16.01_WHQL or a newer release prior to this BIOS update.
Note: Upgrading BIOS before this driver release may require following the Display recovery SOP.
Upgrading to this BIOS version will prevent flashing the previous BIOS.
Older BIOS versions than P1.80 need updating to P1.80 (PinnaclePI-AM4_1.0.0.6) before proceeding.
I placed the "amd all in 1...." before updating the BIOS and added version 1.8 prior to 3.2. I haven't had a chance to access the Windows recovery screen even when using a bootable USB drive, as long as my C: SSD is installed.
