I kept encountering an OC code, which caused the fans to speed up and the monitor to turn off briefly. I read instructions to reset the BIOS to its default settings, but now I can’t exit and it reverts back. Every time I start the system, it loads into BIOS again. I own a Crosshair VIII and have been struggling to resolve this for over an hour. I’ve invested a lot in my computer and am really worried. After loading optimized defaults, I clicked save changes and reset, but the other exit methods—discarding changes or launching EFI from a USB drive—still don’t work.

No, it's not yet booting into Windows. The system is still in the startup process.

It’s launching directly into BIOS, no Windows logo appears. 62164225275__A96E86B5-6047-4AF1-8F11-22CC9D97BF47.MOV

Are you seeing your boot drive listed in the BIOS settings?

I'm not sure, perhaps in Boot? All BIOS settings vary.

It should appear in Boot Option Priorities, making it hard to locate. Disconnect/reconnect it.

Remove the boot drive by unplugging both data and power connections from both ends, then reconnect them securely. If it's an M.2 drive, extract it and reinsert it.

This means I completely don’t understand what it’s talking about.
