Hello, I'm assisting a friend who just got his new PC. It arrived with a RAM stick misplaced but worked fine after re-seating and booting. The BIOS settings were checked, and he tried rebooting to see if it would return to Windows as before. However, it kept looping back into BIOS. I'm worried about updating the BIOS to the latest 2024 version, which could brick his motherboard. I need advice on a safe BIOS update path for his E7C79IMS.110 system. We also tried booting into CSM and encountered a driver installation prompt. The M.2 drive isn't showing up either, despite confirming it's seated correctly. All specifications are noted, and I'm not very experienced with BIOS loops. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

If the system starts in the BIOS, the storage device could be unplugged or the BIOS configuration might have been cleared. Swap out the CMOS battery, update the latest BIOS version, and inspect the connected drives.
