Consider trying a short range—about a foot for a quick baseline—or extend it to three feet or ten feet with clear visibility. Pick a distance that lets you gauge the performance clearly.

They shouldn't begin testing just yet; we must confirm whether the issue lies with the broadband before proceeding. WiFi should be the final check after ruling out other causes.

What? I need you to provide some solid speed results on Wi-Fi, since his original message doesn’t clarify his location. If he’s doing it in his office like before, interference from the building or bathroom might be the problem. Just want to know if the Wi-Fi is actually the issue and where he’s running the test. He’s not giving us much information to work with.

It's hard to tell if the problem is with the WiFi without knowing how quickly the internet coming into the router is. You should first check that. They relocated the router during a move but didn't specify the broadband type. As I mentioned before, if it's mobile broadband, a weak signal is more likely than an issue with the WiFi itself, so understanding the broadband kind and its speed is important before examining the WiFi connection.

He understands his strategy and the costs involved, including the service type you mentioned. I’m requesting him to provide the specific numbers for those speeds. I see that his home broadband capacity is sufficient, but checking a speed test would help us compare it effectively.

There’s no proof they understand those concepts from that message. It seems like someone who genuinely doesn’t distinguish between broadband and WiFi. It’s pointless to guess their knowledge; they should explain so we can offer reasonable advice.

Hey everyone, I think it’s related to my location. They said there’s a specific reason why the WiFi is slow in my area, and unless I upgrade to a better plan, I won’t get faster speeds. The ping should be fine, and I don’t do heavy tasks much.

Use quick DNS solutions and stay near your WiFi router whenever possible. Keep the device closest to your router for best performance. Update your WiFi adapter drivers regularly. Ethernet connection isn’t recommended because it disrupts certain parts of your home and wiring around the house would be difficult.

Run a speed test using an Ethernet connection to eliminate wireless interference and determine your actual WAN performance.
