Transitioning from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1 involves updating your system and ensuring compatibility with new features.
You’re looking to move from Windows 7 to Windows 8.1 using an ISO file. Since you don’t have a Windows 8.1 installation key, you can still upgrade by following these steps: download the ISO, run it, and during setup you’ll need to activate with a valid key. If you don’t have one, you may need to purchase or obtain a license before proceeding. Make sure your system meets the requirements for the upgrade.
You can move to version 8.1 using the Windows update in Windows 8. If everything else doesn’t work, notice how you spent money on Windows but it didn’t arrive.
I don't think so; I faced the same issue when setting up on a new SSD.
Most people probably didn’t finish the whole message. I said I’m using Windows 8 with a valid registered key, but I’m trying to switch to Windows 8.1. The ISO I have doesn’t have the required key. Also, I don’t want to upgrade via Windows Update because of data usage restrictions.
The 8 key functions are compatible with the 8.1 upgrade. If needed, contact Microsoft—they can assist.
