Transitioning from 4930k to 8700k
It won't happen, processors don't get worse over time... and getting unnecessary items because you hope they might be useful later is the simplest method of losing money. When you really need something, it will likely be more affordable, or there will be superior choices available at the same cost.
Prolly refers to effectiveness in relation to upcoming releases.
4770 looks terrible in comparison to the 8700, especially once it becomes unlocked.
You're thinking about keeping a 2-year-old CPU for five more years? That's a big gamble, Cotton. Even as an Intel enthusiast, I wouldn't recommend it. The Z370 board prices have plummeted, and I bought mine for just $80 from Memory Express. DDR4 memory is also very affordable—32GB of Gskill costs between $120 and $130 in Canada. Unless that CPU is worth a whopping 350-400 bucks, it doesn't seem like a good deal at all.
You might also find it available elsewhere within the EU. With your Z370/8700k/32GB, 3200MHz and RX570 paired with 5000KR, it’s a solid offer.
