I once owned a PC equipped with an Intel 1660 processor and a Ryzen 5 3400G. After many years it stopped working, so I decided to replace everything. I purchased a new SSD to boost my storage while I was at it, but I’m still considering adding the old SSD plus a PS4 hard drive as backups. My main concern is whether I can keep using the old SSD as the primary boot drive and retain all my files and games without having to re-download anything. I also want to remove the outdated drivers with DDU. Thanks!

Hi, it seems a fresh installation would be better. Changing the board and CPU can cause many driver conflicts, especially with different sockets or Intel models. DDU only handles graphics and audio drivers, which is just part of the bigger picture of potential issues. Most games can be restored fairly easily through most launchers, allowing you to save them on a separate drive for recovery. Searching online for your specific launcher's recovery steps usually works well.
