Hello everyone, I just bought a 480GB SanDisk SSD and am excited about upgrading from my 2TB HDD. I’m unsure how to install Windows 10 on it. Is there any software available for transferring the OS, or should I perform a clean reinstall? If a clean install is necessary, could you point me to a guide so I can keep using my HDD while installing on the SSD? Thank you very much!

Certain tools exist for this task, though updating from scratch isn't necessary

With a Samsung device, you can use built-in software to safely transfer your C drive to an SSD and adjust boot settings in BIOS. No full reinstall is necessary unless you encounter problems. Consider using a mirroring solution like Acronis True Image.

Clonezilla is effective for this purpose if you're looking for a free alternative. It's somewhat more complex, so you'll need to learn its settings and menus to get it working.
