I’m planning a dual-boot setup for software development with a friend who wants Windows and Mac. Using two SSDs, one per drive, seems ideal. Adding an exFAT HDD for file storage should work for both systems since it supports reading and writing. I understand flash drives can also be formatted this way, but an internal hard drive offers more reliability.

Alternatively, you might set up Apple's Bootcamp driver on your Windows partition.
