I explore ways to simplify my setup by combining power and video connections. The motherboard supports two USB 3.1 ports, but my graphics card lacks a Type C output. I currently use a USB-C cable for power and an HDMI cable for video, which creates two cables across my desk. I’m considering linking a DP output from the GPU to the USB-C port on the motherboard. This would allow me to connect the monitor via a Type C port directly, eliminating the need for separate cables. I’m unsure if this method would work as intended and worry about potential damage, but I hope it’s a feasible solution.
