I've searched YouTube and online sources extensively, but the details remain unclear. I haven't updated my motherboard in years. Originally, I purchased a Windows 10 Pro retail key and used the free Windows 11 Pro upgrade. Now it's purely a digital license. No genuine key is linked to it, and I only use local accounts.

How can I transfer this digital license from a Windows 10 Pro key to a new computer I'm building? I've tried various commands and used SuperFly's showkeyplus, which confirms it's a retail key but shows just the generic Windows 10 Pro key. It doesn't display the unique key from the original license. I'm unsure how to apply a generic Windows 10 Pro key to a new machine without the proper license.

Could you help me understand how to get this digital license transferred? Thanks.

Install W11 Pro and then choose the "I've recently changed hardware on this system" option during activation.

I don’t understand the connection to your old Windows digital license. This new item seems unrelated at first glance.
