I was testing the game on a different machine and completed about half the story. Now that I own the game, I’m curious if I can save it for my own copy without worrying about penalties. I’m sure it’s possible, but I don’t want to face any issues or bans. My version is clean and has no modifications.

Can't recommend this option. Recent bans have been issued for altering SP content, and adjusting or adding a save could trigger those restrictions. It seems challenging, but you may need to start over.

I transferred the Rockstar Games folder from your desktop documents to three different users' computers, allowing them to view your single-player progress without any issues.

What you're thinking is about whether they remain active online following the restrictions.

A single-player save file works because it doesn’t include any modifications. The online save is connected to your social club account, so using another person’s online profile isn’t possible with your own account.
