Transfer PC components between cases isn't working. Need assistance.
Hello! I moved all the hardware from one case to another before. I'm familiar with handling components and protecting them. After transferring everything, the qcode is cycling through startup codes while the CPU, RAM, and GPU lights come on simultaneously. The system seems stuck. I've removed all peripherals and SATA cables, RAM too. Standard troubleshooting steps are usually followed when a PC won't boot. If you need further details, just let me know and I'll provide more information. MB: Asus x99 Deluxe CPU: 5820k
You already tried to do the usual stuff... So.. Can it be because is any kind of short on the MOBO? Maybe a pin behind or a cable...? Is not usual for the error code to rotate like that, is always a fixed one.
This seems unusual; it might indicate an issue with the CPU or motherboard. Could you share the error codes? The motherboard could provide additional information. Try reinstalling your CPU and inspecting the motherboard for damage. If that fails, test with another CPU or motherboard. Also look for a short circuit, as mentioned.
I’ll review this carefully. For rotating QCodes, you might want to look for terms like “rotating QC code,” “dynamic QC code,” or “variable QC code.” If you’re unsure, try using keywords such as “rotating barcode” or “adaptive QR code.” For a first-time attempt, searching with simple phrases and checking results can help you find the right description.
The instructions are scattered, but I have all the standard commands for normal startup. I’m planning to reinsert the CPU and won’t have any more boards to test at the moment. I’m expecting a new PC soon, so this might be my setup for the server.
It's unusual; the output indicates it appears to start but the CPU fails during boot (particularly with System Agent DXE). This might stem from issues with your BIOS, processor, or motherboard. You may want to reset your BIOS by disconnecting the CMOS battery for a few minutes while it's off. If that doesn't resolve the problem, consider taking it to a repair facility—they can test various CPUs and boards and help identify the issue more accurately.
Hi, thanks a lot for your support, Nuno. I replaced the CPU, cleared the CMOS several times, removed all RAM, and tried 1 and 1 before waiting a while—it worked! I’m not sure exactly what helped, but really appreciate your time and help. I’m glad it fixed it!
