I feel like I was making mistakes, but I wasn't. I've duplicated numerous Windows XP, Windows 7, Server versions without trouble... yet with Windows 8, 8.1 or 10 it consistently failed. Windows seems overly strict about updates, even changing a graphics card needed a full reinstall to resolve display problems that made no logical sense since DDU is meant to fully eliminate all display drivers. That's why I keep disposable Windows versions at home and run everything in a virtual machine. The satisfaction of using Windows 10 is truly great.

I’ll definitely avoid having to install another Windows 10 again, but I’ll make sure to suggest it to anyone who asks.
