This seems like a new challenge, but I'm here to help. After installing an SSD, transferring Windows and apps can be tricky. I used Clonezilla but ran into a configuration issue—can't reinstall Windows easily. What steps did you take before that problem started?

You encountered the issue when using a Windows disc. Running the system startup repair with that disc might resolve it.

With the activation key, you can simply download it once more and install it from a USB drive.

I'll attempt this now. It's not necessary to remember that I haven't had to do this before.

You can also perform a startup repair using a USB drive before installing Windows. However, a fresh installation remains the most reliable option. If you choose a full reinstall, all your data will be erased from the hard drive—be sure to back up important files to an external storage device.

It seems you're asking if the process only duplicates the window partition without affecting your main system or reserved partitions.
