Next week you'll be upgrading to a new rig, moving your SSD setup with Windows. It should work smoothly. Regarding Windows, you can wipe the old drive and reinstall from a disk using the same product key. The reason for not re-installing directly on the new PC is that it lacks a physical disk drive. Updating the SSD using Windows may cause driver issues, so reinstalling the operating system is recommended. You can still use the same product key during installation, which will prompt for it.
