In theory it could work. However, Windows might say the folder isn't yours and refuse access, though you can bypass that restriction.

What you're experiencing depends on the platform. On some systems, if you're viewing only the public folder, your friend's user folder might not appear unless you have access or permissions. Check the settings or permissions on that specific service to ensure visibility.

The other user folder needs to be shown. In the best case, after what I've done, Windows will likely ask if you have access and then grant it.

You might want to navigate to View -> Options -> "View" tab and verify that "Hidden files and folders" is enabled to display hidden items. If the issue persists, it's likely those files have been removed.
