Transfer data from Mikrotik device to Ubiquiti system seamlessly
For any reason my ISP doesn't allow connecting my Ubiquiti router directly to the fibre ONT. I have to route through their Mikrotik hap ac2, but I can't send internet from there to my router. Plugging it straight into the Ubiquiti switch works, though the router doesn't. I've been searching online for hours trying to solve this. If anyone can assist, I'd really appreciate it. I'm looking at two options: either extract my ISP info from the Mikrotik and feed it to the Ubiquiti router so I don't need it, or if not, route the internet through the router and have it act as a DHCP server.
does the mikrotik support a dmz setup? your provider typically uses this method: wan connects to a modem or router, which links to the isp's lan, then your router handles the local network. the router's wan interface gets an ip on the wan side, and you set that as dmz on the modem/router.
