I placed an order for an SSD and it should be here soon. I’m planning to reset my PC and wipe everything before it arrives. Do you know any trustworthy tools that can transfer Windows from an HDD to an SSD?

It's usually best to start with a clean setup.

For a fresh start, it's best to perform a full clean installation. Switching from an HDD to an SSD isn't advised since Windows makes many special adjustments when installed on an SSD (like turning off automatic defrag, disabling superfetch, realigning sectors). Doing a simple move would require you to handle all these settings yourself.

just get the win 10 installer off their website, and install it fresh when the ssd gets here (thats what I did, but I went from ssd to a bigger ssd) when it asks for product key along the bottom of the windo it will say something like "don't have a key", and then once you connect to internet it will ask you to auto verify. Then its installed, and you have the fun task of waitng for stuff to instal, but at least win 10 auto detects wifi cards, and their management of it doesn't suck...

You should follow the steps provided in your specific software's uninstallation and reinstallation guide. If unsure, check the official documentation or support resources for detailed instructions.

Based on my observations, when Windows identifies it's operating from an SSD, it will adjust accordingly.
