Hey there, I'm really struggling with this setup. I just bought the S90C Samsung and paired it with my 165Hz monitor. I switch between them based on whether I'm playing games or using a mouse/keyboard or just casually. The problem is, whenever both are connected and the TV is off, my monitor loses the signal but I can still hear everything clearly. It only happens when I close the game unexpectedly, after which the picture disappears completely.

I've tried everything: updated drivers, reset GYSNC, reinstalled software, checked BIOS/firmware, adjusted GPU settings, disabled VSync, set TDR delay manually, and even turned off the display port. Still no fix. I've been working on it for days, but it's frustrating because I really want to keep my monitor plugged in while using the TV. Just a quick heads-up – whenever the TV picks up any signal, even if I'm only showing it on one screen, the monitor goes into a weird loop and won't recover until I turn it off and back on.

Anyone have ideas or solutions?

many televisions struggle to connect properly with computers, especially when you frequently turn them on and off.

I worry that constantly disconnecting the HDMI might wear out the port, especially since my GPU only has one. It works reliably most of the time, but it tends to pause right after I close a game (even if the TV stays on) and when I turn both devices back on together, no matter what the screen is doing.

It seems TVs often fall short in consistency compared to real monitors.
