Track Frame Speed Limited
You're facing issues with your monitors not supporting the refresh rate you want. Despite using a GTX4070 and DisplayPort, your two GIGABYTE M27Q monitors seem limited to 60Hz. You've checked HDR settings and even tried forcing higher rates via screenshots, but haven't found a solution. Consider consulting community forums or checking manufacturer guidelines for the specific monitor models you're using.
The issue appears more frequently with display adapters. It may indicate a Gigabyte M27Q model or a generic PFP adapter. Check if you're using a DisplayPort 1.2 cable. For some users, resetting color settings (8/10 bit) helped. Restore the default and unplug the monitor briefly. Updated March 1, 2024 by Spreadking – spacing error noted.
Have you considered removing and reinstalling the drivers for your monitor? The manufacturer's site lists Rev 2.0. When you select firmware, it mentions needing a USB connection between PC and monitor to apply the update. You might try using a USB-connected monitor to the PC instead.
Yep, Imma qoute a redit user here " If you enable HDR (10bpc) that will limit the refresh rate lower than 170Hz too. With HDR on it will limit itself to 120Hz over DisplayPort. However this is a "fake" HDR monitor with only HDR400 certification, so IMO it only looks worse in this mode over SDR. I'd rather have the extra refresh rate." So the best option seems to turn of Hdr and update the monitor drivers while conecting the Pc and monitor with a usb cable.
I've adjusted the drivers so they show M27Q in Device Manager, but nothing has changed. I made sure HDR is disabled as others reported. Currently USB C isn't available since my B550F motherboard lacks an USB-C port. Both monitors are now connected via USB.
